Shay and I walked down to the Headhouse Square Farmers’ Market today for the first time in months. It was wasn’t too crowded and felt like the old days, when the market was new and not too many people had discovered it yet.

We stumbled across the craziest concert in the middle of Macy’s this afternoon. Halloween costumes, a cover band and cosmetic makeovers.

Since we returned from vacation, I’ve made at least five batches of soup. This batch was chicken and vegetable. So, so good.

I saved the syrup from my last batch of canned peaches, infused it with jalapenos and made jelly. It’s sweet, spicy and delightful.

At the Plymouth Meeting Benihana’s for a friend’s birthday celebration. I’d never been before and it was actually quite fun!

The change-of-season colds are hitting hard. Multiple coworkers are down, as well as Scott. I’m rubbing thieves oil on my throat and soles of my feet, in an attempt to ward it off. If nothing else, it certainly smells good.
