Pour-over coffee is all the rage right now, but honestly, it’s how I’ve been making coffee for years. To my mind, it’s one of the best ways to make a single cup without a lot of waste or excess. Best of all, I got my ceramic cone at a thrift store in the boondocks of Pennsylvania for $.50. I do love a bargain.

The Headhouse Square Farmers’ Market reopened for the season today. One of the vendors brought their dog and in order to ensure that he was comfortable, brought this little wicker couch for him to hang out in. Good life, little doggy.

My friend Cindy is in town for the weekend. We’ve got plans to talk for hours, hit a few thrift stores and order Indian takeout. It’s what we almost always do when she comes to town, but it just never gets old.

I spent today with a crew from The Daily making a pair of canning videos. They’re going to be amazing.

A set of Pyrex bowls. My obsession with all things Pyrex is starting to wane. I think it might be time to let this stack go to make room for some other cool thing.

Pancakes are one of my joyful foods. I love making them and think them one of the best Sunday morning foods around. This batch was made with my dad’s classic mix, with an extra hit of sourdough for lightness. They were excellent.
