The weather we had while in New York was incredible. One would not have the audacity to even hope for such days, particularly in the month of August. And yet, we had approximately 52 perfect hours, during which it was sunny (but not too bright), warm (but not hot) and blessedly free from humidity. Only in our last hour in the city did it begin to rain, and even that was a welcome indication that it was simply time to go home.
This particularly luminous moment occurred in Central Park, around 4 pm on Saturday afternoon. I felt so free.
